In a gathering at a park in Iran Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province, traditional clothes and custom of the region go on show.
Ghasem Hemati, an official attached to Iran Culture and Islamic Guidance Ministry, was quoted by the media on Saturday as saying that the gathering at 'Dezpart' Park was held to honor Ardal city, located in Iranian province of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari.
The official also added that indescribable beauty of Ardal during spring as well as the historic visit of late founder of Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini, to the city in the second month of Iranian calendar year presented a timely occasion to name a day after the city in Ordibehesh month.
A wide range of activities and events were offered at the gathering, including local music performances, speeches by the officials in the Province as well as horse riding shows and live reading of Shahnameh written by world-famous Classical Persian Poet Ferdowsi.
Iran is a country that is composed of various ethnic groups. Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province is home to many Iranian people of Bakhtiari origin.
